WHY DIDN'T THIS REMIX SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY....

A&M Records contacted Tuff Jam's Management 51st requesting Tuff Jam's (Karl Brown & Matt Jam Lamont) to provide remixes back in 1998, but this mix never was submitted since this was one of many Dj Special's on Acetate for use at Gig's that Karl attended and this track was the first time Karl had ever used the term SOS on a Mix at the time. While in their tea break at the Catch Studio's Karl knocked up a loop of the groove that he felt would be the Dub version.

Engineered by Gavin Mills while everyone had finished and gone home, Karl asked Gavin if he could lay down that looped pattern which was sitting safely at the end of one of the arranged mixes on the LOGIC EMAGIC sequencer arrange page.....This was the DIY's SOS Dub
That was the first time Karl & Matt had used LOGIC at Catch Studio, and it was truly a powerful tool and still is and being used today in his own studio.....HUGE Shouts to Gavin Mills & Brian Tharme from Mr Brown.

There are the Original Acetates also that those chosen few have picked up from Karl via an agreement with special messages attached which still gives these copies a unique status since one cannot sign a Mp3, but these few special plates signifies the time when Karl brown finally gave up the Club work and focus now on his spiritual path (Psalms 83:18 - Isaiah 55:6 - John 3:16 - John 17:3). Also....why the Free give away? well, due to some of these acetate's being sold on and not keeping to the original arrangement......
